I am Teresa Tavera Thomas also known as "Ozioma" of Igbolan

d meaning "Good News" of Igoboland." I went to Ehime MBANO, Imo State Nigeria with Father Paul Ogoke with the intention of staying a few months as a independent missionary. What I witnessed as I walked and lived among these beautiful people touched my soul. The unwarranted, undeserved, unnecessary suffering and dying these people suffer on a daily basis, was horrific! Suffering and dying from treatable diseases. Diseases that are a consequence of unclean water and lack of medical care. Waterborne diseases, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Malaria, Respiratory Infections, Tuberculosis, and AIDS are among the crosses they carry every day.
